The Lab School Farm to Table Dinner Fundraiser

The Lab School + Gnarled Oak Farm present the inaugural Farm to Table Dinner to benefit Forest+Farm School. Dinner will feature Chef Cortez from Nine One One Barbeque Shack, Chicago, IL and Gnarled Oak Farm pasture-raised pork and beef. All proceeds will go to fund The Lab School Forest School.

Outdoor learning improves child development.

Nature is necessary for a child’s well-being—it nurtures their imagination, uplifts the senses, and promotes happiness and productivity. By heading outside and learning in nature, kids improve their emotional, intellectual, and behavioral development. Outdoor learning helps foster the development of creativity, problem-solving, independence, and confidence. They can use their curious minds to explore their environment instead of being restricted to the regimented classroom structure.

The event will include a farm tour, a silent auction, music, and an opportunity to purchase other unique gift items created by the learners at The Lab School during Forest School.
