Lip Gloss

Our Lip Gloss is made with all-natural ingredients, including tallow from grass-fed, regenerative cows, beeswax, mica powder, jojoba oil, castor oil, sunflower lecithin. The combination of these nourishing ingredients helps to soothe and protect dry lips, leaving them sparkly and hydrated. 
Each tube contains 0.3 fl oz.
 
Why tallow? Tallow naturally contains fatty acids (stearic acid, oleic acid, and palmitic acid) and vitamins (A, D, E, and K) that are ideal for healing and nourishing our skin. The composition of tallow is so similar to our skin that it is absorbed better than other oils and fats and doesn't cause irritation.  
Our Process: Our tallow products are made in micro batches by us on our farm using tallow from our pasture-raised, intensively rotated Belted Galloway cows. Why does pasture raised, intensively rotated matter? The more the cows are rotated around from pasture to pasture, the more plant diversity they have available to eat. This impacts the nutrient density of their meat (and tallow), meaning more nutrients available in the tallow for your skin nutrition! They also provide benefits to the soil and sequester carbon as they eat and fertilize the pastures!

Gnarled Oak Farm was established in 2017, and Fat Cow Tallow Co. was created in 2022 after the owner, Sarah, realized the healing powers of tallow and lard. The tallow and lard used in the Fat Cow Tallow Co. products all come from animals raised in a regenerative and ethical way, all on pasture. 
In order to honor the life of the animal, we strongly believe in using all parts of the animal. We try to live a no-waste, no-plastic, holistic life, and our products reflect that. Our packaging is reusable and mostly plastic-free. 
 
All products are made from scratch on our farm in micro batches. All of the tallow and lard is rendered by us, in a long, and slow process to ensure the fat retains all of its healing and moisturizing qualities. 
 
The ingredients used in all of our products are local and organic whenever possible. All of the oils and clays are high quality, and we never use additives. We never use aluminum, phthalates, palm oils, or parabens.
